Rough Rough Draft Reflection Letter

My own writing philosophy is simply to get out my idea of one subject and make a point. I believe everyone has their own unique view of things and sometimes people agree or disagree on subjects but i personally like to let my opinion be known. Writing is not my strongest skill but it is one way that i can express myself on any matter. Its a way to be creative and let people know your feeling about that subject. I tend to disagree with someone just for the entertainment of an argument. I like to challenge others thinking and put in my two cents on the topic. My philosophy in writing is making my opinion or view of any matter known. The first essay I wrote in my writing class at Puget Sound Early College was on the subject of Bacon’s Rebellion. The writing process for this essay was very different from last year's writing process. I feel I improved as a writer using the "They Say, I Say" book. The outline and numerous drafts and conference with Craig helped tremendously. It was difficult for me to transition from the typical B.S 5 paragraph essay I use to write compared to writing with evidence and putting my point of view. My writing philosophy is still about being creative and making my unique view of things known. Writing about history was interesting, because history has so many interpretations. I used many different sources that all had different opinions and arguments. In addition, by reading so many sources on one subject I had a deep viewpoint on that one subject. Along with the first essay, I had a lot of research for the second essay as well. The second essay was difficult to write compared to the first essay I wrote in class. With only two weeks to write it and only a few days to get research, the fast pace was a struggle for me. I believe I improved on the "I Say" part of the second essay. The biggest struggle for this essay was staying focused and being organized. I believe that the quotes i used supported my topic well in both essay one and two. The writing style for these two essays were different, i preferred the first essay, which was persuasive, compared to the second essay, which was more informative.

I really like what you have. I think you just need to break it up in to paragraphs, and some of the sentences seem to run on a bit but that just might be my opinion. Other than that I think you have a really strong voice in this, and its a really good reflection

You need to add quotes from your past essays to better explain yourself. Break up your letter into paragraphs, then transition between paragraphs. Don't only focus on your weaknesses talk about your strengths too. You have good points but get more into detail. You start talking about something interesting then leave the reader hanging. Explain yourself!
