Virginia Resolves on the Stamp Act Text Analysis

The audience is the people of Virginia and other colonies around it.

The writer represents the general assembly and the law.

This document explains who can and cannot impose taxation on the colony, it is stating that it is as a law if you are not the general assembly and you are imposing levy taxes on the inhabitants of the colony.

It is being said in a demanding statement.

This document started as just an idea of Henry's until it was published in the newspaper, its justification is that it is representing the government and the law.
