Give me Liberty or Give me Death, Patrick Henry: Notes
Patrick Henry freely talks about the issue of freedom or slavery. Either fighting for freedom or letting the British ministry step in and control the levies and taxes. The colonies have been able to tax themselves for decades and all of a sudden Britain steps in creates more taxes and gain more control. Mr. Henry is writing to the colonies and expressing his belief that if Britain is allowed to step in and take that much control the colonists will end up being slaves. The famous statement Patrick Henry says "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death" clearly states his position of fighting for freedom.
